If you’re interested in switching to a hybrid vehicle for efficiency, eco-friendliness, and reliability, you should definitely go with a Toyota. According to a recent report by iSeeCars.com, people with Toyota hybrid models keep their vehicles longer than those that own any other brand. This goes to show that Toyota keeps to its commitment to build reliable and long-lasting hybrid vehicles.
The iSeeCars.com analysis looked at 900,000 used vehicles. It focused specifically on cars from the 2012 and 2013 model years, which were the years when hybrid powertrains became more widely available across brands and segments. At the end of the investigation, iSeeCars.com was able to put together a list of the top 10 cars kept by the original owner, called “10 Cars That Beat the Rest in Owner Satisfaction.”
Toyota dominated the list with six vehicles, three of them at the top of the list. The top three winners — the Toyota Highlander Hybrid, Avalon Hybrid, and Camry Hybrid — were each more than twice as likely to stay in the hands of their original owner as the average vehicle. If you see a Toyota hybrid model on the road, it’s probably still being driven by its first owner, because these models are just that good.
