After more than a decade, the Toyota Tundra has finally entered a new generation. Completely redesigned and equipped with loads of cool features, the all-new Toyota Tundra is ready to shake up the pickup truck segment for the 2022 model year. These are our three favorite features from the next-gen Toyota Tundra.
Hybrid powertrain
Toyota is finally applying its industry-leading hybrid tech to the pickup segment. The all-new Tundra combines a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 with an electric motor to generate up to 12,000 pounds of towing capacity. It can also haul up to 1,940 pounds in its rust-proof bed.
Standard TSS 2.5
Many brands require you to pay extra to unlock its most advanced safety features — but not Toyota on the 2022 Tundra. Toyota Safety Sense™ 2.5+ is standard at all trim levels and features some seriously smart features like an automatic emergency braking system that can stop for pedestrians at left-hand turns.
Smart assistant
At this point, we’re all used to saying “Hey Google,” “Hey Siri,” or “Alexa.” Now, you can do the same in your Toyota — either by connecting your smartphone or by saying “Hey/OK/Hi/Hello Toyota.” It can even connect to your Alexa-powered home system.
