The last time the Toyota Crown luxury sedan was sold in the United States was nearly 50 years ago. Now, it’s back. Taking the place of the Avalon in the Toyota lineup, the Crown sets a high new bar for luxury among full-size sedans.
Under the hood, the all-new 2023 Crown packs a HYBRID MAX powertrain that produces a net 340 horsepower. Toyota expects it will get 38 miles per gallon combined, even with all-wheel drive. Considering the size of the Crown, that’s an impressive figure.
Indeed, the Crown is larger than your typical sedan. It’s almost on its way to being a crossover, but not quite, instead blurring the line between the two. Its taller ride height and larger dimensions lead to great visibility behind the wheel and interior space.
More than just spacious, the Crown is the most luxurious Toyota passenger car on sale. It has ventilated and heated seats, full leather upholstery, a 12.3-inch touch-screen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity and cloud-based navigation, and an 11-speaker JBL® sound system. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg of premium features.
At Krause Toyota, we’re very excited to see the Crown return to the U.S. Visit us in Breinigsville, Pennsylvania, to learn more about how the Crown is revolutionizing luxury sedans!
